I can personally gaurantee you that you will never find better windows phone than this Nokia Lumia 900. The premium design and display is quite unique. The ClearBlack AMOLED display is absolutely gorgeous. I can say it is one of the best ever.

The camera is very good and can be brought up even when the phone is locked just by holding down the dedicated camera button. You can snap photos in widescreen or fullscreen mode and upload directly to Facebook Twitter or Skydrive without having to open another app. Worth mentioning you also get 25GB of free cloud storage with SkyDrive. Very nice!

Battery is superior to any smartphone in the market. The best smart windowsmobile Nokia Lumia900 AT&T can stay up to 2 days. Most smart phones I used before, they could only serve me only half day or the best is one day.

AT&T includes some nice apps like U-verse video streaming and MyWireless to check your data usage change your plan or pay your bills. You also get a ton of exclusive apps like Nokia's turn by turn navigation and public transit apps. Nokia owns Navteq the mapping company which provides map data for tons of companies like Garmin so this is a major addition to the value of the phone. There are also exclusive CNN, ESPN, Univision, and college sports applications on Nokia's Lumia phones. These apps are excellent and all have 4 or 5 star ratings from users. There are also a few dozen exclusive apps coming from Electronic Arts for the Lumia phones. I love earning Xbox Live achievements on the go. You can even see your friends avatars and edit your Xbox Live avatar on this phone!

10 New App Store Games to Watch [July 23 - 29]

Posted: 31 Jul 2012 06:53 AM PDT

Gamers that remember the "good old days" have a lot to check out this week.  Blazing Star blasts onto the iOS from SNK Playmore, and faithfully recreates some side scrolling shooter memories from the Neo Geo era.  If you're more into stealth and sabotage you might like Spy vs Spy, the reboot of the old Commodore 64 / Atari computer game that pits two bumbling agents against each other to see who can recover the top secret briefcase first.  Play the updated version, or switch to the pixel perfect retro mode for lots of nostalgia.  And, while it's not really a remake or reboot or anything, Giant Monsters Ate My City might just remind you why you used to love the wanton destruction you could cause in the old favorite Rampage.

iPhone 5 (and iPad Mini) rumoured to be announced on Sept 12, go on sale Sept 21st

Posted: 30 Jul 2012 01:58 PM PDT

According to iMore's sources – ones they claim have proven accurate in the past – Apple is planning to unveil the iPhone 5 during a special event that'll be held on September 12th, with a release date to follow 9 days later, on September 21. The iPad mini, along with an all new iPod Nano (and likely iPod Touch) is set to be announced as well during the same event. From what iMore is hearing, the iPad Mini will be exactly the same as the 9.7″ big brother, only sized down to 7.x inches. A recent rumour had pegged the smaller iPad to feature a 7.85″ IGZO screen and a $250-299 price tag.

Meanwhile, iLounge has also published a report this morning providing a number of juicy tidbits regarding the release of the new iPhone and other iDevices. Here's what their “highly reliable source” is saying:

Apple launches 3 new Genius Ads

Posted: 30 Jul 2012 07:33 AM PDT

If you missed Apple’s new Genius oriented ads shown during the opening ceremonies of the 2012 Olympics in London, here they are. The 30 second ads feature the same Apple genius character, who in various humorous situations, goes to the extra mile helping Mac customers in distress. The first (above) is dubbed “Mayday” and is my favorite of the bunch:

An Apple Genius shows a fellow passenger how easy it is to make great home movies with iMovie. All before the tray tables are returned to their upright position.

Check out the rest after the break.

Is this the iPhone 5 fully assembled?

Posted: 30 Jul 2012 07:26 AM PDT

Japanese repair site iLab.cc have posted a handful of images of what apparently is a fully assembled iPhone 5. They’re among the most in-depth look yet of the next gen iPhone that have been circulating around the web over the past several weeks. Very similar to a previous leak of shots taken, these latest ones also show a two-toned design, a repositioned facetime camera (now sitting centered above earpiece) and earphone jack (bottom left of device), the long rumoured smaller dock connector and of course, the slightly larger (4 inch) screen. And as first reported by iLounge, iLab’s photos suggest a visibly slimmer body, which could directly be attributed to Apple supposedly using the all new in-cell technology for its display. More up close and personal images of the iPhone 5 after the gap.

Update: Macotakara have posted a video (below) of a very similar looking iPhone 5.

2K Games’ $0.99 Summer Sale

Posted: 28 Jul 2012 10:58 AM PDT

Sid Meier's Pirates! for iPad now $0.99

2K Games doesn’t have a huge catalogue of titles on the App Store, but they do have some of the most well known games in their respective genres. And now, for a very limited time, all of 2K’s iOS offerings are on sale for only $0.99. Sid Meier’s Pirates! and Civilization Revolution are among the most addictive games I’ve played on the iPad and this is the first time that they’ve dropped to the dollar mark. For sports fans out there, NBA 2K12 and NHL 2K11 will be able to get their hoops/hockey fix on the small screen. The ‘Summer Sale’ is on for only 3 days and will end Monday, July 30th. iPhone and iPad links after the break.

Knights Of The Round Cable in Review – Round and Round We Go…

Posted: 28 Jul 2012 10:17 AM PDT

There's a popular saying that "there is nothing new under the sun".  The video game industry is a prime example of this, as most popular games these days can be broken down into a handful of categories, and it's not uncommon to see the word "clone" in a review.  Still, with all the games that are released on the App Store each week, there are a few that feel fresh due to atmosphere, mechanics or some other aspect of the game.  Knights of the Round Cable happens to be one such game.

Viber now supports Group Messaging, improved sound quality

Posted: 24 Jul 2012 09:12 AM PDT

Perhaps the most popular (and fastest growing) alternative to Skype, Viber now has 90 million users worldwide and just been updated today to v2.2 for iOS. For the uninitiated, Viber lets its users call and text each other all for free – so long as the app has been installed on their mobile device. With the most recent update, Viber brings group messaging, along with time stamps to all messages sent/received to masses (something Whatsapp users have gotten accustomed to). More importantly for its VoIP functionality, a new voice engine has been implemented for improved sound quality.

10 New App Store Games To Watch [July 16 - 22]

Posted: 23 Jul 2012 10:50 AM PDT

The App Store had a lot of good new games to offer this week, but casual arcade games seemed to be in particularly good supply.  Chillingo unleashed Jelly Jumpers on us, and while it feels like a standard "climb from object to object as high as you can" style game, I still found myself becoming addicted to it.  Daily challenges, plenty of achievements and a continually growing score multiplier are enough to keep me coming back.  Follow The Rabbit is a cute, blocky puzzle game where you must collect coins, dodge enemies and ultimately keep sight of the elusive white rabbit.  It also has the distinction of being the first Armor Games iOS release that is not a port from their existing library.  Great Big War Game is the sequel to Great Little War Game, and it looks to continue the "lack of Advance Wars" fix that many of us mobile gamers need.  With 50 single player missions and online capabilities, you should be fighting the good fight for quite some time.

Good phone for older people July 7, 2012 By Mel Doner

Got my phone, Samsung GT-I9300 galaxy s3, the first day it came out. I upgraded to a smartphone so I was not too sure if I would be able to figure it out but this phone was not too hard. First thing is that it is so light and thin I was afraid of dropping it and was not comfortable holding it until I put a case and screen protector on it, but after I did so it was great. The case added just enough grip to make it easy to hold on to. The on/off button is placed in such a way that if you squeeze it, you end up also squeezing the volume button on the other side, so I ended up pushing it while holding in one hand with the other hand, not always convenient. The big screen is wonderful (I upgraded just for this, as I am older with bad eyesight) and everything is large enough that it can be seen without reading glasses for those of us with poor eyesite. All the most frequently used items are right there when you start and you can customize all your screens if need be. Making and answering calls is extremely easy and the dialing screen has large buttons and easy to access controls. Also the buttons are labeled with what they are, such as end call for those of of who get confused by icons so we don't end up hanging up when trying to push speakerphone. Same for texting. The speaker is clear and loud enough so that if your hearing is starting to go you can still understand people. If you are in the car you can easily bring up the voice assist with just a quick tap and instruct the phone what to do, either make a call or to send a text (in this case you would dictate the message). Appointments and reminders can be made the same way. I love that on the very front it has voice assist search for google, something I use all the time (locating a type of store, reviews of products, etc). Apps are easy to download and very quick. This phone with 4G service is as quick and responsive when accessing the internet as my home computer. I am a news junkie and I am able to see all the websites I would normally visit and easily read them without feeling like I cannot see what I would normally be able to see. The large screen means limited scrolling and easy viewing. I did not try the navigation apps included but downloaded one called Waze which works better than my onstar navigation included in my car. This phone has easy access to WiFi so if you want to conserve your data usage it is easy enough to use that instead. The notification bar is informative but the phone also has a small light that flashes so that when your screen is not on you can see that there is something that needs your attention. Battery usage is okay, I would make sure that you charge it every evening if you are a heavy internet access person. It takes a couple of hours or so to fully charge directly from an outlet, longer if charging from usb port. Taking pictures and video is a snap and the quality is wonderful. There are a lot of other features that I have not had a need for (such as sharing files). Overall I am very pleased with this phone.
