Tonara, a high tech sheet music app for iPad, adds Christmas tunes to in-app collection Posted: 06 Dec 2011 02:17 PM PST Tonara, one of the most innovative music related apps I’ve come across in the App Store, has added a good number of Christmas carols to its built-in music store. Released a few months ago, Tonara is the world’s first interactive music sheet application. As you play, the app follows along your exact position on screen, even turning pages for you. Any acoustic or electronic instrument can be used – your own voice included. So how does it work? From Tonara’s FAQ section: (...) © louis for TouchMyApps, 2011. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us |
Posted: 06 Dec 2011 01:01 PM PST Rockstar Games announced earlier today that the Grand Theft Auto III: 10 Year Anniversary Edition port will be released on select iDevices and Android phones on December 15th. Ten years after its original release, a whole new generation of gamers who missed out on this iconic Rockstar title can finally play it on their mobile phones. Thankfully, it’ll be compatible with single core iPhones and iPads, so even those without an iPhone 4S or iPad 2 can still run the game on their devices. The launch price is set at $4.99, which is certainly on the reasonable side. Check out the list of supported phones/tablets below, along with the intro trailer and screenshots.

10 New App Store Games To Watch [Nov. 28 - Dec. 4] Posted: 06 Dec 2011 07:23 AM PST If this is indicative of what the next few weeks leading up to Christmas are going to be like then you'd better strap yourselves in and prepare for a crazy ride! On a normal good week I might build a list of between 25 and 30 games to whittle down for my final list of 10, but this week I had almost 60 games! Naturally everyone's excited about Infinity Blade II, the successor to one of the most successful RPGs to grace the iOS screen. If you like your monster slaying action a little more lighthearted you might consider The Bard's Tale, a 21st century re-imagining of one of the great RPG series that I grew up with in the 80s. Players eager for a Kinect like experience but not wishing to buy an Xbox will want to look into Fuego's River Adventure, a hands-free game that uses your iPad's camera (requires an iPad 2) to track your movements and manipulate your character accordingly. On the other hand, if accessories are your thing you might consider appBlaster Overkill, a newly released version of the shooter Overkill that requires the new appBlaster gun peripheral in order to provide a more visceral shooting experience.
