In the event that you’re still not sick of slinging helpless birds into those pesky piggies, you can now simultaneously do your favorite two things in the whole wide world: Facebook stalking and playing Angry Birds. Earlier today, Angry Birds officially made its way onto Facebook, where 800+ million of its users can play the mindlessly addictive game for free. The Facebook version features the same gameplay we’ve all come to love, but with more of a social aspect thrown in, plus several all-new power ups.

Thinking of picking up some iTunes gift cards for the recent EA Mobile, Gameloft and Sega iOS sales (or maybe just some new App Store Games)? If so, you may want to pick some up via Bestbuy.com, where all iTunes GCs — be it physical cards or digital delivery — are currently 15% off. So $25 cards are now $21.25, $50 for $42.50 and so forth. This promo is especially beneficial for those international iDevice owners who use their US iTunes accounts extensively. A redeem code is sent via email for any “Digital Delivery” purchases made, so you don’t have to worry about a shipping address if you reside outside the US. Not to mention that your code will be delivered straight to your inbox shortly thereafter in either case. Head over to the iTunes gift card section at Bestbuy.com and take advantage of this offer, which will end on Feb 18th.

This week should be paradise for scrolling shooter fans. Cave released another game in the DoDonPachi series called DoDonPachi Blissful Death, and I'm sure it will provide the same frustrating "bullet hell" satisfaction that most other shooters they release do. The graphics look a bit dated, but if there's lots of destruction it probably won't matter too much. Next up is DariusBurst SP, the latest in a line of horizontal shooters that dates back to 1986. This installment comes to us courtesy of a PSP port, and I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it provides a similar thrill to Taito's earlier release, RayForce (TMA Review). Finally, if you're looking for something a bit different there's Beat Hazard Ultra. Sure it's still a shooter, and if we're lucky there will still be many things to blow up, but this one generates its level based off of the music in your on-device iTunes collection (or off of an internet radio station if you don't have any music loaded). Oh, and a few other games came out as well!

SEGA’s yet another big name publisher to offer Valentine’s Day deals on the App Store. Most notable price drops are the Sonic titles, with the fairly recent HD re-release of Sonic CD going for $2.99 (down from $4.99), and Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Ep I (TMA Review) now selling for $1.99. Meanwhile, the majority of SEGA classics such as Altered Beast, Gunstar Heroes and Streets of Rage are all on sale for $0.99. The “Sweet Deal” will only last until the end of the day (full list below), so act quick if you see something that tickles your fancy.
