Posted: 24 Jan 2012 02:37 PM PST All-in YOGA HD, a fantastic yoga app and also one of my favorite apps on the iPad, has just dropped from $4.99 to $0.99 for the next 2 days. The app lets users of all levels choose from over 40 ready-made yoga programs with different goals in mind, from health, stretching, breathing to strengthening various parts of the body. After being convinced of getting into yoga by my chiropractor, All-in YOGA basically saved me from the constant and nagging back pains, as I was able to follow along and stretch and strengthen my body without having to take classes. And being a complete yoga newbie, the videos (and voice prompts) that accompany the lessons were most useful and even neccessary. Simply put, if you’re looking for a quality Yoga app (or are thinking about getting into Yoga), All-in YOGA HD for the iPad is a steal at $0.99. iPhone users can pick up All-in YOGA: 300 Poses & Yoga Classes, which recently went on sale for a buck. Take a look at the video trailer below – it’ll will you a tour of what to expect from the app. ARAWELLA, All-in YOGA HD: 300 Poses & Yoga Classes, – $0.99 (...) © louis for TouchMyApps, 2012. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us |
VoiceUtils lets Siri open apps, unlock phone and reboot on iPhone 4S Posted: 24 Jan 2012 01:00 PM PST Well it didn’t take long for Siri tweaks to surface after the Untethered Jailbreak for A5 devices (iPhone 4S and iPad 2) went live several days ago. VoiceUtils, a newly released Cydia app developed by Nick Frey, finally allows Siri to open stock and third party apps, unlock the device, reboot/restart/respring the phone, and even enter Safe Mode. These actions were previously not available to Siri, and many users have wondered why Apple has decided not to (for the time being at least) include basic functionality such as launching apps. At least now for iPhone 4S jailbreakers, the free Cydia utility will give them more control over their device and simple actions like restarting the SpringBoard is only a voice command away. Check out the video demo of VoiceUtils in action after this space. (...) © louis for TouchMyApps, 2012. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us |
Apps Gone Free Roundup: Death Rally, Rock Prodigy: Guitar and more Posted: 24 Jan 2012 11:16 AM PST Remedy Entertainment’s highly popular Death Rally, a gorgeous looking action/racing game for iOS, is now for a limited time. ChiffaN reviewed this remake of the 90′s hit a while back and gave it a Kiss It rating:
Also free (for the entire week) is Rock Prodigy: Guitar, a Guitar Hero like app that makes learning the guitar fun and stress-free. The app is able to “listen” to your picking/strumming and the lessons will automatically pause if you’re playing the wrong notes and chords [Intro video]. Check out the rest of the recent freebies after the break. (...) © louis for TouchMyApps, 2012. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us |
Evi brings Siri-like functionality to iOS devices Posted: 24 Jan 2012 09:39 AM PST If you think Siri’s a bit too snobbish for your liking (as in you don’t have an iPhone 4S), there’s a new digital assistant in town, and she’s not exclusive to only one iDevice. Meet Evi, the app that works on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad (iOS 4 and higher required) and Android phones.

App Update: PDF Expert for iPad adds full text search and more Posted: 24 Jan 2012 08:32 AM PST For those who heavily rely on PDF Expert for the iPad, the new 3.2 update brings about a much requested feature – the ability to not only search the file name, but the entire contents of the PDF file as well. This will certainly help users with a sizable library of PDFs find their documents more easily and quickly. And accessory fanatics who love their bluetooth keyboards (like the ZAGGmate) will also appreciate the added support of the “Tab” and arrow keys when filling out their PDF forms (PDF Expert is one of the few on the App Store that lets you fill out forms created in Adobe Acrobat). If you already own the app, the update is free; otherwise, this excellent PDF reader/annotator will set you back $9.99. More app info and what’s new after the gap.
