The Humble Bundle 4: Pay what you want for a number of awesome games Posted: 16 Dec 2011 12:42 PM PST The Humble Indie Bundle event is back and you can once again pay what you want for a number of awesome games – all DRM free and playable on Windows, Mac and Linux platforms. This time they include Jamestown, Bit.Trip Runner, Super Meat Boy, Shank and NightSky HD. And if you pay a penny more than the current average of $5.30, you’ll get an additional two games: Gratuitous Space Battles and Cave Story+. The unique aspect of the H.I.B is that the money you spend can be allotted to either charity, the game’s developers or both. Spending the minimum of five bucks for 7 well received titles is a fantastic deal, especially considering some of these games individually go for $10 or more. For instance, you can find BIT.TRIP RUNNER ($4.99), Gratuitous Space Battles ($16.99) and Cave Story+ ($9.99) on the Mac App Store. As an added bonus, you’ll also receive the soundtracks to all the games in MP3 format for free. The Humble Indie Bundle won’t last forever; you’ll have until Dec 27th to take advantage of this great offer. Check out the promo video below. DIY mod makes your iPhone 4 Apple logo glow Posted: 16 Dec 2011 09:59 AM PST Recently, we saw iFixit’s Transparent Rear Panel replacement give your iPhone 4S a bare-it-all look. While the hack was simple enough to do, I’d imagine not too many casual owners would want to stare at the honking battery all day. But what if a somewhat similar DIY kit uses the same glass back of your iPhone 4/4S AND gives the Apple logo a nice healthy glow? Sold by K.O Gadgets, this hack takes 5 minutes to complete and involves removing several screws, replacing the back cover, and adding in the “light panel”. The kit sells for $42 and comes in both black and white, though only for a very limited time (57 hours left as of writing). There’s even an option to choose the standard Apple logo or the Steve Jobs Tribute logo designed by Jonathan Mak. Check out the demo video below and see how this nifty mod is installed. Monkey Island Tales 1 in Review – LeChuck is back and he’s… human? Posted: 16 Dec 2011 07:22 AM PST Few franchises have enjoyed such a cult status as the famous Monkey Island series by LucasArts. While the original trilogy is simply above all praise and the remastered versions of The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition and Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck’s Revenge (TMA Review) have already found their way onto iOS, the PC version of Escape from Monkey Island was a flop. That's why when Telltale announced they were going to take over the series from LucasArts, the entire Monkey Island community held its breath. And only with the release of Monkey Island Tales 1 could fans finally breath… (...) © ChiffaN for TouchMyApps, 2011. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us |
